Engaging Your Creativity
Why Cloudstories Creativity came into being:
I set up Cloudstories Creativity to bridge a gap in education, a need to harness people’s creativity, and have brought workshops to school-aged students in Bendigo, and Melbourne so far. I decided to take some time out from full-time teaching to create and offer some workshops around engaging and cultivating people’s creativity working from strengths and building on them in ways people want to. I’ve also run Women’s Wisdom Circles, run seasonal celebrations, and have run drama and creativity workshops in a women’s prison with considerable success.
A bit about me:
Having taught in the education system for then 15 (now 25) years in a range of environments, in the UK, the USA, and here in Australia in the NT (desert and Top End), QLD, and Victoria (rural and urban), I’ve realised that classrooms and students need to harness creativity more to fire um learning, making it fun, engaging and accessible.
I’m currently half-way through writing my first novel, and am studying a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a BA(Hons) in Literature, Drama and French, and Grad Dip in Secondary Education, with full VIT registration, a current WWC certificate and First Aid. I play a number of instruments and sing. I’ve studied with the School of Shamanic Womencraft (4 Seasons Journey and first year apprenticing), and have also sung in and led choirs.
